This page is dedicated to the shower project that took us 4 months and lots of money. We would have just taken the lady that sold us the house like this to court but after talking to a lawyer about it she said we would win, but there was no guarantee she would pay. In fact supposedlnothing would happen to her if she did not pay. Oh well, learning experience.
The following picture are from beginning to end. I first noticed that there was a problem when I saw all the calking that the previous owner used to just mask the problem. If you are wondering why we never noticed this before we bought the house, the answer is that we only had one day to make a decision on which house we wanted and to do the paperwork. Erin left for a week to house hunt while the kids and I stayed in Texas. That Friday I took the kids to daycare with a plan that friends would pick them up and watch them for the weekend. I drove a moving truck with some household items and my Mustang to New Mexico. When I got there we unloaded the car and items into storage and the next day we looked at over 15 houses together and had to decide. We really did not have time to nit pick the problems each house had. The most I can say is that we learned and if we see something like this in the future we will no to stay away. At least it is done and the shower is much nicer.
